Our CDS staff recently participated in the Marshmallow Challenge, a hands-on team-building activity that highlights collaboration, communication, and flexible thinking. Working in small groups, staff used simple materials—spaghetti, tape, string, and a marshmallow—to build the tallest free-standing structure with the marshmallow on top.
Beyond the fun, the activity reflected essential skills in a therapeutic school environment: problem-solving together, adapting when plans change, and supporting one another through challenges. Experiences like this help strengthen the collaboration that allows our team to thoughtfully support the social, emotional, and academic growth of every CDS student.
