What's Happening at Cornerstone? News and Updates

Parents, Students and Educators
What They Say

“Though I didn’t know it at the time, CDS meant everything to me. Ultimately, I was the one who made the choice to turn my life around and go down a new path.”
Student, Fort Lee, NJ

“I want to personally thank you for all of your help with this very difficult family. Their son is in great need of treatment and I know both parents are comforted by the high level of care that he will receive at Cornerstone. For them I know that they see the 24/7 hot line as a godsend: Mom said that it’s the first time that she can really sleep at night.”

Case Manager, Essex County, NJ

“Cornerstone meant a lot to me. It taught me how to cope. It has truly made me the person I am today, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”

Student, Union, NJ

Students Lead the Way in Holiday Giving with Toys for Tots Drive

Students at Cornerstone Day School exemplified compassion, leadership, and community engagement this holiday season through a student-led toy drive in support of Toys for Tots. With enthusiasm and purpose, our students organized, collected, and proudly delivered an impressive number of donated toys to the Cranford Fire Department, helping to ensure that children in need experienced joy during the holidays.

This meaningful initiative reflects the heart of the Cornerstone community—where students are encouraged to give back, support others, and recognize their ability to make a positive difference beyond the classroom. By participating in this act of service, our students not only brightened the holidays for local families, but also strengthened their own sense of empathy, responsibility, and connection to the broader community.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our students and families for their generosity and commitment to helping others. Their thoughtful contributions made this holiday season brighter for many and showcased the powerful impact of collective kindness.
