This year, we celebrated a milestone that fills us with deep pride and gratitude—20 years since Cornerstone was founded. Twenty years ago, Cornerstone began with a simple but powerful belief: that students with significant psychiatric challenges deserve a place where they are understood, supported, and truly known. Today, that belief continues to guide everything we do.
Our anniversary celebration was a reflection of the joy, connection, and spirit that define Cornerstone. The day was filled with performances, games, and shared laughter—moments that reminded us how important it is to celebrate our students and the community we have built together. Students created a time capsule, capturing who we are right now, and contributed to a growing tree art project that beautifully symbolized growth, resilience, and the strength it takes to keep going, even when the path is not easy.
For 20 years, Cornerstone has been a place of hope for students facing complex psychiatric challenges. We are continually inspired by their courage, their perseverance, and the trust they place in us every day. We are equally grateful for the families who partner with us, the public schools that collaborate with us, and the extraordinary staff whose compassion, creativity, and commitment bring Cornerstone’s mission to life.
As we reflect on the past 20 years, we do so with immense pride—and with excitement for what lies ahead. Cornerstone’s story is one of growth, healing, and possibility, and we are honored to continue this work alongside our students and families for many years to come.
