Friday night, April 26, Cornerstone students were swept away into a world of magic at their Junior/Senior Prom, held at the Westwood in Garwood, New Jersey. The theme for the evening, ‘Hollywood,’ was met with anticipation and excitement, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.
Students arrived dressed “to the nines” in elegant gowns and tuxedos worthy of any Hollywood event. Staff greeted them and entered the venue, walking the red carpet. The paparazzi (school photographers) were also there, capturing the excitement and elegance of the guests as they walked the red carpet.
In keeping with the Hollywood movie theme, tables were decorated with centerpieces made of Oscars, director boards, and even Hollywood Blvd stars. Students were treated to movie theatre snacks such as popcorn and chocolate.
While the staff may not have recognized the music, the students certainly did, and it was the perfect soundtrack for their evening. The dance floor was never empty, with students showing off their best moves until the very last song was played by the DJ! All the guests had an amazing evening, dancing and spending time with one another.
